.... looks like a nickel prospect. Would allow Bene to play outside if needed. Sanchez won't be ready.

I've heard you say that a lot about Sanchez. Is it his ability to read an NFL offense or more his ability to play in the NFL?

Do you think there's any chance Sanchez is practice squad bound or do you see him making the active roster?

Nickel is one of the more difficult positions for a rookie to learn. I would not expect Sanchez to see much time there.

Gettleman has shown that he can identify veteran DBs who will work well in our defense.  I was definitely uncomfortable with Bene being the only real veteran presence in the CB corps.  Hopefully this guy can play and can allow us to bring along Sanchez slowly.  Hopefully either Bradberry or Worley will be ready to go right out of the gate.  We're going to need at least one of the CBs to be an instant impact player.

Judging from what you've said about his physical abilities... eek.

I mean, he is a little guy. He is taller than Munnerlyn was but seems much more spindly in person. Worry about him trying to tackle anyone over 200 pounds.

Poo. Can he at least hold onto someone until back up arrives (maybe two seconds)? Our defense swarms to the ball.

True, but on 3rd and short half a second of not bringing a guy down is a huge issue.

    • I did get some coin in on the Knicks to win the whole thing at +3300 immediately after they won game two and before their odds made a huge shift so I'm not mad at this news. I don't expect them to win but I'll probably be able to cash for a good amount if they make the finals.
    • Horn and T-Mac will get matched up a lot, but it won't be 100% of the time, nor should it be anything close to that. Yes, it would benefit T-Mac's ability to get better at beating the press, but it would also be a detriment both of them for them to be matched up too much more than 50% of their reps. Neither is likely to end up going up against similar players in games, not many teams have WRs the size of T-Mac and not many teams have CB's with the physicality of Horn.  Horn needs to work on covering smaller shiftier WRs as well, just as T-Mac needs plenty of reps against smaller CBs so he can work on using his frame to body them out of position.
    • Tatum tore his Achilles it looks like. At least watching the injury that's what it seems to be. He's probably out all next year and Boston sucks and gets a lottery pick. :insert eye roll here:
