look - pep is getting paid what everyteam in the league would pay for him. If we cut him some team would sign him to 100mill no questions asked.

In the NFL what your getting paid doesnt havr to reflect your stats. Eli huge contract, but not an elite QB, but his contract expired at a good time.

Obviously everyone that is bitching about the $ we are paying him knows nothing about how supply and demand works. Thought in Charlotte that knowing ecomonics were a given...

the difference is that we dont have a 1st rounder sitting on the bench...but i do know what you are getting at

Everette is a first round talent in the FO's eyes. In my opinion, trading our first round pick next year to move up for Brown will end up being a much bigger mistake than giving Peppers the Franchise Tag.

I don't care about teams game planning against Peppers. When you're an elite football player, it just doesn't matter. Teams are terrified of Steve Smith and game plan for him all the time, and all he did was rack up 130 yards in the air yesterday. Peppers has no heart.

It's basically a testament to how the Panthers are to blame, not Pep...

They paid him, and yet refuse to adjust and allow players to play to their strengths...

I don't blame Pep for wanting out.. Put him on a 3-4, or even a 4-3 that actually makes adjustments and isn't vanilla, and he'd get all these sacks you're obsessed over...

I'd pay him $20 Mil to keep him here..

If you want to be mad about money, be mad about Jake Delhomme...

You can be mad about both...but the offense put up scores yesterday.

We couldn't stop Atlanta.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
