I think the problem is that Gano missed it.  If he had made the FG, it would have given us enough points to win.

Unfortunately true. I hate to see either JJ or Gano get flack. As they are both great, in spite of what people say tonight. But JJ shat the bed. I'll chalk it up to lack of rapport with him and Lee. As I've said elsewhere it should have never come down to a FG as time expired

The problem is that Graham Gano was brought in not to make field goals but to kick the ball out of the end zone and win the field position game.

 

with the rule change on ST I really question just how much value he actually has at this point.

He's missed more than one clutch kick and he's only really average overall if you take out his value on kickoffs-which the rule change has done.

The snap wasn't great, but I also think the fact that Gano nearly pushed his freebie kick wide right cause him to pull the one that counted wide to the left.
