Clemmings has looked better but a switch from right to left was done this season. It's going to be rough.

I had no idea he was a DE his freshman/sophomore year in college.  So he only has 3 total years as a RT, and this year they're moving him to LT?  You're probably right... that will be rough.

Yeesh.

Well, it's not like our DL is doing anything so who cares? Soliai, Delaire, Addison, Ealy, Star, Short, Johnson and Butler haven't done much this season.

We could play a peewee team, and our pass rush could still suck.

The stats aren't there, but I'm more inclined to trust Rivera's comments this week about the defensive line performance than your hot take.

Man, the hits just keep on coming. It's almost as if the Vikings are somehow the recipients of Denver's mountain of bad karma.

The thing is that none of these injuries will probably impact them. They may have actually upgraded going from Teddy to Bradford, AP was not being a factor and Kalil isn't a big loss for them

I could care less about his comments. He's a coach. The truth will never be said to the public. Again, if our boys are good to go then we better see 6-7 sacks on Sunday. If not, then it's just coach speak as usual.

So I guess Cam and the offense sucks if they don't up 60 points this week either.

You realize that 3 sacks a game gets you in the top 5 sack teams in the NFL? Denver led the league in sacks last year with 52. 6-7 per game is double the best pass rush in the league. Expecting that is a bit much.

Calling the Addison "sack" a sack is = telling Catman he won a "car" and giving him the palm sized toy car.

There is zero pressure, much less consistent pressure, from the DE position.  Pure and simple.

If there's none this week against this dumpster fire OL then not only does the simple, easy, and obvious acquisition need to be made, but multiple.

I don't know what games you were watching,  but there has been a consistent pass rush and consistant pressure. Neither quarterback from our first two games was able to just sit back. Denver use a three-step drop and the ball was out of his hands. That is an excellent way to avoid a good pass rush. It's pretty obvious to me that you're not watching the same games and I'm watching and it's obvious to me that you also don't give a f*** about the facts. So since you want to keep on grinding that  axe, why don't you go grind it somewhere else because that s*** don't fly here.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
