Did Delaire Just Take A Shot At Cam?

You're referencing a small sample size of blacks, would be like me coming here and calling you a redneck because i see a bunch of white people riding around with confederate flags on their trucks. You don't have to agree with the riots to understand them. This is his city and like it or not, those are his people. Outside of maybe Jordan, Cam is the most influential black male in Charlotte. Its not fair to him, but heavy is the head that wears the crown.

that's so weird then, because every time there's an excuse to act like this, thousands of blacks pour into the streets to do it, with many thousands more cheering them on for it. tell me, how do you think that "small sample size" compares to the "sample size" of police officers who have unjustifiably shot a black man with malicious and racist intent?

Cam has no obligation to the black community. His only obligation is to his fellow man. Telling him he has to choose a side is what's actually "wrong with society" and as gibberish gibberish told you in the other thread, he's clearly smart enough to realize it, which you've demonstrated the inability to do.

There are times in life when you need to stand up and speak up for what you believe in. This is not one of those times. This is one of those times where people need to sit down, shut up, and break bread with those whom they don't believe with. Cam is doing that.

Cam has done more for the black community than your racially driven hate fueled desire to "win" against the white people will ever do. This isn't a sporting event.

Ace isn't a racist....far from it..... I like some of your earlier points but like you stated its time for the name calling a demonizing to stop...he disagrees and sees the world differently, no one can see the world through the same eye as someone else we should respect other people's opinions....

Got bigger things to be concerned about. Important stuff, like my son deciding where to go to college and how I can kill my daughter's boyfriend but make it look like an accident.

So basically, the real world had been chasing me for years, and it finally got me.

(Oy)

LMAO

Being black however doesn't allow me to speak on the views of blacks specifically when it comes to our black qb. Cam ain't the most popular among blacks right now, I have a phone full of text messages and a Facebook full to prove that. You can argue if it's warranted or not, but you can't argue that's how blacks are viewing Cam. Really the only ones left defending him are Panther fans.

I'm not concerned how a demographic - that is so smart, that they react to violence with violence - thinks of anybody else.

The thing is that I haven't been real clear on where I stand. I've only really described how blacks feel about Cam Newton and why they feel that way. Never said if I agree or disagree, but that I understand and I understand because I'm black. I can understand why they riot while also disagreeing with the actions they take.

I can't tell anyone what I think Cam should say other than I believe he should be true to himself. when something happened in Cleveland Lebron said he didn't know the facts of the case and declined to discuss it. That's all Cam has to say. He is in a lose lose that's why it's best to either speak your mind or stay quiet.

It is just super frustrating to see everyone directing their anger and hatred towards each other instead of the corrupt, money grubbing institutions that are the bane of this country. Too much is being said about the looting and protests and not enough is being said about the root causes of the issues. That's a bigger subject than any of us, Cam included, could ever touch. Until we as American citizens, as a whole decide to stop bickering amongst ourselves and confront the real sources of the problems, nothing will ever be solved and the status quo will remain the same, exactly what the politicians/police chiefs want. I don't condone what's going on in Charlotte but I'm not gonna sit here and say I don't agree with the message. I'm fed up, the American people should be fed up with the lies and manipulation that continues to happen every single day in Raleigh, Charlotte and Washington. I think it's too big for any one person to handle or take down so I don't blame Cam or LeBron or anyone for not wanting to be the face of it. Its a fight that will be far from victimless

Could you elaborate?  I think I see where you are going with this but I am curious.

    • Because playoff hockey and regular season hockey aren’t the same thing.  It’s a combination of the game intensity being dialed up with loose officiating.
    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix had only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
