Smitty is a 1st ballot HOFer too.

All you need to do is look at his stats, his size, and then think about it was Jake Delhomme, Jimmy Clausen, Rodney Peete, Vinny Testaverde, Chris Weinke, etc. tossing him passes for 90% of his career.

Yea I'm not saying Peppers isn't probably a HOFer, but he's less sure of one as Smitty.

If there ever was a list for players who played the game with the most fire and hunger, Steve Smith would be #1 and there would be a steep fall off to #2. 

He wasn't the biggest and most talented but his fire alone made him a HOF and we were gifted as a franchise and fan base to watch his career unfold before our eyes.

You may hate him but he has your respect.
