Imagine the Last Couple Years With Smitty On the Team...

I think we would be undefeated right now and would have won a Super Bowl last year.  He is pretty good for his age and salary.  I think he would have made the difference on offense.  Cam is the man, but he is no Smitty as a leader.

What is fatboy Gettledouche even doing with that money he saved?

As Gross even said, Smitty was stunting Cam's growth.  But if you are talking about literally just inserting 89 into the team last year?

Don't know.  Cam thrived without having a go to WR last year.  Everyone was an equal target.  89 messes that up and no way to know how it plays out.

I would have liked 89 in the Super Bowl to punch Denver in the mouth after the Philly face mask though

don't think 89 really makes any difference this year unless he can play OT, DB or DE.

89 to me was always his own ball of dynamite. He could motivate in game with his play but he was never a traditional leader here IMO.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
