I laughed at this bit. 

To elevate yourself into superstardom in the world of sports, whether it is Tom Brady or Kobe Bryant, you need to be the first in and last out every single day. The preparation needs to be elaborate, and the confidence will come as a result. 

Cam Newton is a star in every sense of the word. He plays the game well, he is polarizing, and generates entertainment at every turn. However, he lacks the work ethic to become a superstar.

Oh I know. He also had quarterbacks he would choose over Cam to start his franchise. I think one was Mariotta LOL.

I swear, this repeated bullcrap makes me tired.  And ready to use my time that I use on this league for more useful things.

Its ridiculous.  And me being THE "Nut Hugger", its just been worse for me.  And I'm sick of it.

Seriously, Cam is a good dude.  And I have NO FUGGING IDEA why he is required to submit to this constant bullshit.  Constant nit-picking from his OWN fans of "Cam made a mistake! hur hur Nut Huggers won't recognize it! hur hur!"

He was just heaping praise on Cam a year ago. Like literally, he all but sucked his dick.

The days of real journalism are long gone. It's all about cheap easy sensationalism, and who is first to break a story so they can rack up the most clicks now.

Our local media is a prime example of this. Jonathan Jones was pretty good, but he moved on to better things.

I won't say anything bad about Mariota.

Seems like a helluva good dude and he's doing well.

Good for him that he hasn't been designated the sacrificial target of the NFL, the NFL media, fans of all other NFL teams, and shitty cowardly Panther "fans".

I don't think Cam has a work ethic problem. He puts so much time into his work and goes above and beyond other players. That being said I'm sure there have been other QBs who did more film study and more mechanics practice than Cam, like Peyton and probably some others. If he did that on Peyton's level, I can't even imagine where he'd be. Cam doesn't really need to go way above and beyond like the very few do because of his natural gifts (he can make perfect throws without any mechanics, pretty much just using his arm strength) but it would help to make him even better than he is.

I like Mariotta and his receiving weapons aren't that good and he's succeeding there but damn am I jealous of that Titans offensive line, particularly their tackles. Conklin and Lewan are complete monsters. Great/lucky drafting by the Titans the past two years to grab those two. That dominant o-line allows both their run game and pass game to have amazing success. Titans, Raiders and obviously the best, Cowboys, all have outstanding o-lines which are pretty much carrying their teams right now.

I don't think Cam has a work ethic problem either. But, I get what Colin is saying to a extent. He doesn't just knock on Cam's work ethic, he also knocks on Cam's maturity which I agree with. I think Cam Newton is a tremendous talent that has all the gifts in the world to be an amazing QB. My issue with him is the showboating, pouting, and sulking on the sidelines tells me he does in fact have some growing up to do. I think the face of the franchise needs to carry himself like a man. He needs to be a professional and show true leadership. I think that's Cam's biggest challenge. When I watch Cam, I see a kid with tremendous talent, I don't see a man. He has the potential to be one of the best QB's ever. But, he needs to grow up.

Don't play the race card. Guys like The Golden Calf of Bristol and Manziel are white and both were polarizing college players just like Cam. Russell Wilson isn't white and he doesn't get criticized like Cam does. Its because Wilson is mature and is a professional. Cam likes to dab, show boat, and pout when his team is losing

We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league.       this one is gold:     Bryce has a cult inside the Panthers fanbase that has truly developed some NPC hivemind. I'll never understand how he's captured the true essence of the casual fan like that.
