This kid we have now is just as suitable, and we got him for peanuts.

Look at every other teams punter, they were either late round picks, undrafted or free agents. That's why you don't waste early picks on punters.

I mean he is OK, andy lee is really fuging good though, still not worth a 4th.

Shut up. Andy Lee for a 4th was a steal.

Probably the only good thing DG did this entire 2016 season.

i rather have Lee and let DG draft a Tre Boston or Edmund Kugbila

Umm, people still forget, it's a 2018 4th round pick. The player we get for the Norman comp will be on our team for a year before we even get to the 4th for Lee.

I liked the pick and I wouldn't be surprised if we get another comp pick in 2018 as well. Who knows. That draft is 2 drafts away. Lee will have played for us for two years already. Just sucks he got hurt because he was playing well, one of the only parts of special teams that was actually doing their damn job.

Didn't realize it was a 2018 pick. Appreciate the insight on that. I now like the trade even more knowing we are going to likely have five picks in the top 110 picks coming in April. That 4th gives us some leverage to move up in the 2nd or 3rd to get someone we like.

    • yea....Minnesota fell off the map this year after going 14-3 with Darnold...bet they wish he was back... and his record looks good this year...maybe he figured it out.... he does get the tight azz in big games still.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
