Ron Can Be A Better Coach Doing 4 Things

I think these 4 things are as simple as I'm saying, its just pride and ego

1. Stick to what you know best = Defense. Stop playing prevent defense or content with just sitting back in the zone when the offense takes the lead, letting opposing offenses dink and dunk their way down the field. Please stop. Its been happening since 2011. Point 1 follows right to point 2

2. Whatever philosophy you got going on about how the offense should play, please get rid of it. Stay away from the offense. Hire a better OC than Shula and give them full control of the offense. If the score is 38-0 and he wants to score again making it 44-0, let him do it

3. Please seek external help on special teams. Please put as much time and focus in making sure you have the right ST coach and ST personnel. Please have the least amount of patience with this unit *cough T. Williams*. ST can win or lose you at-least 1 game. When Gano missed that FG that sent our year into hell, immediately we should have been working out kickers

4. Last but not least, please demand more from your players, COACHES, GENERAL MANAGER. You know what it takes to win a SB or get there, 1 a very stout defense top 5. So demand you get the best players on defense. You know damn well losing Josh wasn't good. You damn well going into the season with 3 rookie CB's wasn't a good idea either. Demand you get a better oline for not only protecting Cam, but to run the damn ball. If you butt heads, so damn what cause believe it or not, another team will hire Ron as a HC. 2 time coach of the year and SB coach, he's coaching again. When the national media run its who's on the hot seat segments, YOUR name will be on it. NOT David Gettleman

2 out of 6 seasons, the Panthers have been over .500. Ron, switch ya style up. Maybe these things wont happen, can't happen. Maybe Ron just is who he is.

Ron can put together a defense though, you can't take that away from the guy

Unfortunately there are two other phases that he appears to not know poo about

it takes a special kind of blind eye for a coach and GM to go from the super bowl to the toliet bowl

...in not even a calendar year

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, it's happened to this franchise twice

    • Sellers is absolutely one to keep an eye on. Could be the next Cam or could be the next Anthony Richardson. Curious to see how he has progressed come this fall.
    • I think Texas could go 0-12 and he would still go #1 based on his name and traits like you say.  But nusselman and sellers may be actually better qbs.    Man if bryce stinks it up this season its looking like a damn good year to swap out qbs.  Sellers highlights are just fuging jaw dropping
    • I mean, the kid comes from a wealthy family. It's not like he needs the money. He has a ton of potential now we get to see what he can do as a starter. Everyone penciling him in as the #1 overall pick is putting the cart way before the horse. It's 5% because of his talent and what he's showing on the field and 95% because his last name is Manning. And if he is what he's hyped to be the Texas coaching staff needs to be answering some tough questions about why the kid wasn't on the field sooner. Ewers was a good college QB but he's definitely not a "keep a future #1 overall pick waiting" type of college QB. Only getting one season out of a top NFL talent because you chose to keep him buried behind a borderline NFL talent is just coaching negligence. Not starting him as a true freshman? Yeah, I get that. But on year two if the kids is what he's hyped to be you gotta wish Ewers well elsewhere and turn the page.
