There has to be some development going on...how long can we wait for perfect...

Agreed. I see several OTs predicted to go in the 2nd - 4th rounds that interest me. I wish there was a great OT prospect in this draft to take at #8, I'm just not seeing him.

Pointless to talk need based draft decisions before free agency.

Hopefully Gman will do what he said he would and fill our "needs" in free agency. Then we can go BPA in draft.

I'm a proponent of BPA, but it works best when their are no glaring needs on the roster.

Good post, Getts has a loaded check book for FA.

Maybe Robinson does project as a RT. But if he played Pro Bowl level for ten years it wouldn't be a wasted pick imho. We'll see what the Combine shows, if Getts has a hard on for a DE #1 it won't matter anyway.

Ryan Ramczyk out of Wisconsin should be available in the 2nd.  I would be much happier with him.

I like him.  However, I see Oher coming back and Remmers and Williams fighting for RT... I hear the front office and coaches like Remmers and want to extend him....if so, I doubt we draft a T in the first.  Look for DE in the first (I hear RB, but that is stupid in a loaded draft---DEs will be gone as early as round 2).  Garrett will be gone, but Solomon from Stanford has the position versatility they like--he reminds me of a better Charles Johnson.  Barnett from Tennessee and the kid from Michigan will all be there in the middle of the first round---trade down and grab one.

I see the 8th pick about where someone will try to reach up for a QB (Watson or Kubiski).  If they are gone by then, then a good player will fall to us.

No. I want nothing more to do with drafting small school OL. Seems like they rarely work out and never work out for the Panthers. When it comes to OL, give me Power 5 conference prospects.

I think he's going to be very good in NFL...we need multiple OT's either way...

If Ramcyck has a good medical eval after his operation, he could pass Robinson up for the 1st tackle taken.

OT' are generally overdrafted, so both will probably go between 15 and 25

There is a chance he is going to need surgery after his season.  If that is the case I could see him maybe falling to the top of the second.
