You thought Shula would be hired away?

Not sure how the better guy being hired to lead a team is irony.

maybe irony is the wrong word.

point is all i wanted since the day this idiot was hired was to be fired.

thought for sure this might be the year.

no, turns out the only coach leaving is McDermott.

just sickening watching Cam waste his years under this mediocre at best OC who makes a living off his name.

Shula is a bad offensive coordinator. Yet he is returning. Lol you cannot make this stuff up. This franchise just doesn't care either way. Being honest here they almost entirely ignore the offense. Even when it hurts the defense a lot because they are on the field a lot. I wish McDermott well he deserves a shot. Next man up at that coaching position.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
