Great fuging post brother!!

I may seem negative but none of those names seem like a game changer to me right now. Would be awesome for Peanut to join the squad but I highly doubt ANY guy with a tv deal will push off the money to go back to grind time.

Jeff Fisher just seems like he rubs players the wrong way. But hey maybe thats what someone like Tre Boston needs... he seems to get offended fairly easy

Ray Horton would be an absolute game changer. Jerry Sullivan could be too.

A few "wired for sound videos...

Jerry Sullivan spends a lot of time talking about and teaching technique and some of his spare time making corny jokes.  Based on what I see here, he definitely shouldn't quit his day job..

Scott Turner employs a net that his players must throw over to teach them how to throw with an "arc" Newton could probably use more of that honestly (Shula used to use a similar technique when he was QB coach).

Chris Weinke talks almost nonstop and uses a lot of "coachisms".  At one point he instructs his guys in the finer points of "throwing the swine".

As of right now, all indications are that the team has completed all its interviews and Rivera is discussing who to hire with his existing staff.

But if there's still room for one more interview, they may want to take a look at receiver coach Curtis Johnson, just let go from John Fox's staff in Chicago.

Johnson was the receiver coach with the Saints during the mid to late 2000s when they had their Super Bowl run. Their receiver play during that period was pretty solid despite the corps consisting of a fairly generic group of players.

Not too likely he'll get a look though as 1) it sounds like we're already done interviewing and 2) there's a pretty good chance he could go back to the Saints since they just lost their receiver coach to another team.

Hoping for news on the new hires soon but not holding my breath...

And again, interviews may already be done but here's a name that will get attention...

Bills will not retain the services of assistant DBs coach Ed Reed.

It is not a surprising move, but Reed is a big enough name for it to be noteworthy. Reed was shown the door along with 13 other assistants including Kathryn Smith, who was the NFL's first full-time female coach. Both should land on their feet.

If McDermott doesn't want you, I doubt RR would.

I'm a Ed reed fanboy, so my opinion is hire the guy please. He's a well known film watching junkie, he could for sure help the young DBs in that aspect. His football IQ is off the charts.

KB should have been eased in do not know but even with that I believe the routes Shula had him running were not correct. Philly is philly nothing changed there. Funchess had a few drops but was open on some plays where he was not targetednot much to say there. Both maybe should be bash its hard to say. Sometimes you can teach to your blue and no improvement will show because the receivers you have picked are just not that good....I think funchess is ok just needs more targets, brown is iffy he has dropped some passes but everyone does but he is small and has no speed. Byrd has not been given a chance don't know who makes the decisions. Ginn just has speed but he regressed somewhat in that area didn't seem to have it like last yr may have still been hurt.Tolbert a joke. Dicksen look at his name. Stewart gave his all behind dismal line. Play design and calling I still say was the issue you have to get the guys open quick

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
