Nice deal.  I guess they found no takers for asked £60M fee or Madrid wanted more. Is it 45M pounds or Euros? Does it have an option to buy?

It's a 10m Euro loan fee, and depending on which paper you believe (BILD or Marca/AS), it's either a 35m buy option, or a 60m buy option.

A lot of news coming out of Old Trafford today.

Per ESPNFC

- Rob Dawson of ESPNFC says that Ibra is well ahead of schedule and his doctors in the U.S. are amazed at his progress. Dawson predicts that Ibra will sign a short term deal with United.

- Dawson said that MUFC do not have interest in Bakayoko and are pressing hard for Dier. United believe Dier wants to move to Old Trafford and Mou has instructed Woodward to offer up to £60M for Dier.

- Dawson believes that a deal with Perisic will get done in the next few weeks. Currently there is a little bit of gap between the evaluations but he expects a compromise. Ideally United would like the deal to be completed before Inter head to China for their tour. Inter currently value Perisic at €55M and Untd. are closer to €40M.

- United is set to sell Adnan Januzaj to Sociedad for €11M.

Negative.  Looks like total deal is £40M.  £9M loan for 2 years with option to buy for £31M.  Actually a heck of a deal for Bayern.  Bayern sent Douglas Costa to Juve on 1 year loan wort £5M with option to buy for £35M.  Bayern basically replacing Douglas Costa with James but if James fails, they will sent him back to Real.

My guess is they've grown impatient. There's no way we just handed our second biggest rival a hell of a deal for no reason. I say it's even for us taking Kroos from them for so cheap.

Strange considering Milan was willing to pay 60M. My guess is James did not want to go to Serie A (desired Champion's League).

That deal screams "get out".  Basically, Real got rid of him.

Kyle Walker to City is done for £50M.

Benjamin Mendy is almost done for £40M (he did not traveled with Monaco).

Bokayoko is almost done with Chelsea for £40M.

Monaco is refusing to sell Lemar and Mbappe.  Monaco did not accept or reject Arsenal £45M bid but Lemar traveled with the team likely means the rejection is coming.

Holy crap! I like Walker, but no way was he worth £50 million. Levy gonna Levy, I guess.... (suckers, lol)

English player, same league, title competitor, huge need at position... definitely overpaid but there wasn't really a better option. Hoping City get Mendy as well to shore up the FB.

I definitely understand the logic behind acquiring him, and why it was a need for your guys, but still... £50-54 million? Highest price for a defender ever. Love me some Levy!

Yea, overkill but MC don't care about money or profit.

    • Yep he made the comment " I dont know what they were doing out there at that point" in the press conference. Let's be real they all got paid but they also know his system suppresses there offensive potential.
    • Yup the casuals on Facebook ive gotten 85 laughing or angry emojis so far for pointing it out.  The amount of them throwing a fit because the canes were booed is insane
    • Why are you so fixated on yards? Even if yards were a good judge of QB play, his low yardage totals in some of those games were partly a function of drops (looking at you Xavier Leggette…).  I’m not advocating that Bryce was elite for the last half of last year, but the eye test certainly supported high level QB play for large stretches. He made a lot of high difficulty, put it on the money/drop in the bucket throws. He converted on 3rd and 4th down, kept drives moving, and put the team in position to win games. And it’s not on him that the defense blew it late after he led game tying drives, Leggette dropped a game winning TD, or Chuba fumbled the ball in OT. We could have finished the season close to .500 with wins against 3 playoff teams including KC and Philly during that stretch largely due to Bryce’s play.    Has he sustained this level of play long enough to deserve an higher ranking? No. But for judging based in that stretch alone, he would. But whether he can perform more consistently at that level or build on that, and thus earns a higher ranking, remains to be seen.
