Myles Garrett to Cleveland FAR from a lock

Here's the scoup since OP didn't post anything about it:

In a video posted Friday by ESPN, the Texas A&M pass-rusher pleaded with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to trade up to the top spot to draft him. Dallas has the No. 28 pick.

Lol. I don't think going to the Cowgirls will be desirable, but no doubt that they might be stupid enough to try.

Carolina may try and get their cards on him too with how Gettleman likes him. Then again it just may be smoke and mirrors from our part.

But nevertheless, you might expect to see a slight "dip" with Garrett at the combine. He may not appear as "good" on purpose.

Terrible move on his part. Kid should keep his mouth shut. Doesn't want to play in the cold?! Yikes.

He's a huge cowboys fan. He grew up in Texas, so it doesn't surprise me.

Seriously, if the Cowboys get him, they'll be really stacked.

I've said before I'd rather have Barnett straight up, but a Garrett slide with Cleveland going QB at 1 is great for us in helping ensure Fournette.

A team like Carolina doesn't even understand how attractive their team is to a young talented player who wants to actually WIN games.

I don't think they see the opportunity. Sometimes I think they just sit there in BofA, unaware of the stock and credibility they built up. Unaware. If you are a team that is a piece or two from going back to the SB or NFC Championship why do you need a bunch of picks? Move up!

    • It would depend on how we lost... If we lose a bunch of 17-13 . 20-7 type games where the defense plays well and offensively Bryce is sh***TING the bed...then he wouldn't get fired.  If we are losing 40-9, 38-14 type games..then yeah it's a possibility.   Couple that with our tough schedule.. if we show well in lets say half those games.. win either Seattle or New England game, at least 1 win vs division oponents.. he's good.  So imo.. to get fired he needs to : Loose badly against the top tier teams ie Blown out Show no progress offensively from last year. Show an unwillingness to bench Bryce again if he is horrible over multiple games ..  Get swept by the Saints again.
    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
