Probably Hurney style cap management. If you want to get a guy signed, you can almost always pull it off but those chickens come home to roost eventually.

yup, his year 1 cap hit could be as low as ~5 million if they wanted to structure it that way. he's still getting 20+ cash in hand first year, and that money is going to hit the cap eventually, but you can always kick the can down the road to some degree
