Fournette at 240 doesn't worry me.  Excites me as much as anything.  Still expect him to run a solid speed.

Peterson played most of his career at 235.   Gurley played most of his career at 240-245 at UGA and had that burner elite speed.  Fournette has shown that exact same speed with power.    A 6'1 240 RB fits our system the best.  Remember how bad we wanted Gurley, this is shot #2.  People all worried about his ankle quickly forgot AP and Gurley.  Gurley played less games in his college than Fournette due to injuries and had a major knee injury.  AP played in just as many games Fournette in college due to injury.

Still think he falls if he runs a fast 40.  This draft is pretty stacked minus QB and OT.

Garrett is big time.

Hooker and Adams the same.

The Alabama MLB is one of the most hyped ones to come or since Luke.

The CBs have some Big time guys up top. Some of these guys are going to put big #s at the combine that only 1-2guys have shown the last 4 seasons.

Allen and Thomas would be in consideration for the top player in most drafts.  I really think this years draft class could be up there with 2011s that had Cam, Von Miller, Patrick Peterson, Julio, AJ Green, Tyrone Smith (Dallas's LT), Dareus, Aldon Smith in the top 10.  And Watt, Quinn, Amukamara, Muhammad Wilkinson, Cameron Jordan, Mike Pouncy, Ryan Kerrigan also going in the first

If we were to have a bad year.  This is good year for it to happen draft wise

Me too, but based primarily on potential. I think opinions on him might vary widely across the league. The guy has everything you want in an OT, but man, I watched him get absolutely WORKED in pass protection in several games. That FSU OL was a dominant run blocking unit but they left a lot to be desired in pass protection.

1st   Fornette  RB

2nd  Hasaan Reddik  OLB

3rd  Ethan Pocic  C

3rd  Davenport OT

Give me

1st: Fournette

2nd: trade down and get as much as you can.  Chidobee Awuzie.  Bradberry 2.0 and can play the Nickle, or the USC kid for Nicole

3rd: Leggett

3rd (picked up via trade): Garcia- short arms make him fall to the 3rd.

3rd comp: Tanoh kap

4th: Perine (bpa)  big hammer RB.  Mainly a short down guy.  Keeps hits off Fournette in the trenches

5th: Mack Hollins- tall fast and big time special teams player

6th: KD Cannon- another fast explosive WR

7th: Top FB

This.  Kid could end up being a solid RT.  But wouldn't want this kid on the LT at all very poor pass protector.  A much more raw version of Eric Flowers.

Perine and Foreman both weighed in at 233.
Shocked figured both would weigh in more than Fournette. Want to see what Fournette runs now. The combine record for a RB atleast 240 is a 4.53, still think he smokes that. Still expecting a lower 4.4 range for him.

I honestly think ESPN a just makes stuff up sometimes. They had Foreman listed at 250 which I honestly thought was a little exaggerated. Did not think Fournette would be 240, good lord. He looks more like 220 but maybe that's because he is 6-1?

It's his height.  Again.  Gurley played around 240-245 at UGA.  But at 6'1 didn't look it.

AP playing most of his career at 235 but at 6'1 looked lighter

Roddick Johnson is my favorite OLmen in this draft. Not the best, but my favorite OL long term prospect.

I continuously read stuff on how hard it is to find ANY OLmen, in college, pros and even high school. A recent piece said no young kids want to play OL, they want to score or sack the QBs. Many colleges don't even get in a three point stance now. They've removed thinking, cause they took away practice time. All of that, plus lots more is why I fight against the remmers hate. Most just don't know, there's a huge shortage of OLmen.

Now Johnson, needs one year of seasoning aka nfl red shirt. He's a giant, 5starz recuit, long armed hunk of clay. In the discussion starting at #40 pick, no question run to the stage if there in the 3rd.

Oh, it's absolutely true. No one wants to play OL. The only time an OL is highlighted is when he screws up. You're a facilitator. Everything you do is so that someone else can get the glory. What elite athlete wants to do that? You want that glory for yourself. And think about it from a coach's standpoint. You might not have a great QB or great RB, so what good is your best athlete going to do you on the OL? Put that guy on defense and let him be disruptive as hell. An individual OL can't win you a game, but an individual hell raiser on defense can.

Agree with you, I'd consider him at #40, but I'd take him in a heartbeat in the 3rd. His potential is well worth the risk at that point.

Geoff hangartner use to say, OL was the last postion group coaches would try you out before they kick you off the field.  Your last chance to make a team, cause you failed everywhere else. lol
