Draft Day Menu

Dex

Recommended Posts

Damn does it feel good to be back. Good afternoon ladies and gents and welcome to the draft menu thread! Despite our fearless leader's newly found hippy veganism (just kidding don't ban) some of us still want to talk about meat, cheese and good old fashioned carbs. I'm starting the thread a couple of days early to give people ideas on what to cook! I know some of us will be out and about at a bar and you're still encouraged to let us know what you plan on eating. But I know some of you will be breaking out the smoker/grill for this occasion and my mouth is watering at that thought.

I'm still undecided on what I'll be eating since it's going to be a late night for me and I'm not sure if I'll even be able to watch the draft. Just in case I'll be scanning through this thread for ideas. (I'll include some below).

So let's see what you've got planned Huddle and as always..... PICS ARE ENCOURAGED.

DISCLAIMER: Don't forget to post what you'll be drinking.

This is a good omen for our season.  Dex, last year, much like our offense, you sucked at starting the game day menu thread, and look what happened.

I was already prepared to start this thread Thursday, but I see you have reported to training camp with a new attitude and energy.

That said, I'll be enjoying a fairly healthy shrimp gyro from my fav local greek place

which would have been fine, but since you posted the mozz sticks thing, you bastard, I'll be having

as well.

The latter half of 2016 was rough for me personally I didn't even watch all of the games. But it's a new year.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
