Wow! That's maturity! That's not a guy that has "peaked", that's a guy ready to absorb more coaching and put it to use

It was always a silly narrative.  I've never heard of a DE peaking at 20.

Playing at Florida Atlantic, Villanova, Ohio, Youngstown State, etc. is not the same as having your hand in the dirt for 3 years in the SEC.

quote from Barnett's letter: "I’m not scared of the tougher level of competition. I’ve spent the past three seasons playing in the best conference in college football, and I was able to find success even when teams tried everything they could to take me out of games."

He's the best prospect coming in as a complete pass rusher, I'd agree. He very well could be the rookie leader in sacks because of his completeness.

Down the road, I could name 4-5 prospects who will likely be every down DEs and producing great stuff. There are better prospects with way higher ceilings down the road that I'd rather take later, since we do not need an every down DE just yet. Barnett would be a nice late 1st round/early second round pick, but not at 8.

Just my opinion. I respect Barnett's game though, and he will be decent. I just don't see him being a monster because you can't teach athleticism. You can say technique and work all you want, but matter is you need a bit more strength and athlete in you if you want to put all that on the field with force.

Hahahaha...
