To be honest this past yr was not goid to be a receiver on the panthers...Funchess was hardly targeted and dropped maybe 2 even sure handed bersin had drops...I think funchess played ok for what he was shown..philly i think was just too thin..I like funchess he was open sometimes but Cam just ddidnt target him..with all that happen last yr. The only player I would like to see gone is Dickson!

Go look at his completion % in the original post

He doesn't have good hands

Funchess was the 4th option behind Olsen, KB, and Ginn.  He plays in a ball control run-heavy offense.  I don't know what he'll be graded on by the coaches, but I would expect him primarily to a) learn the game, b) block downfield, and c) be a red-zone target.  Anyone expecting huge yardage numbers out of a 2nd-year 22-year-old converted TE is a moron.

@thomas96, where is your film study of Funchess?

I overestimated my available free time so I haven't been able to do as much of that as I'd have liked. Right now im working on two things in that regards. A Kony Ealy breakdown and a run game breakdown. As a part of that I was working on what the offensive evolution was going to be with the (wrong) assumption that we would get Fournette, or at least go in that direction (traditional power run game) more if we didn't get him. The McC and Samuel additions have changed that quite a bit and made more work for me, but I'm getting there. After those two comes my Funch and Philly work. I also plan to look at Shepard in TB and compare him to Philly. Plan on putting them up here during the slow part of the offseason in between OTAs and TC.

That ball control run heavy offense produced an MVP QB.

This offense is going to be much more balanced, Diversifying the run game and adding the short passing game is going to keep the defense much more honest.

I predict J-Stew will have + 1000 YDS  While McCaffrey could have +1200 with all 3 phases.

I never got the Funchess hate hes not great but he did make some plays. He came out to soon and he is 4th on a team that runs 3 WRs most the game. The whole offence was out of it last yr.
