Besides Brady what other belechek patriot became a hall of gamer while there.

Albert Haynesworth, Chad Ochocinco, Chad Jackson, and so many others of course.

Gronk is probably in, Vinatierri has a good shot for a kicker, Moss probably solidified his first ballot status and really rehabbed his image.

and thats before guys that could get in undeservedly like Rodney Harrison.

So who was no good before going there and becoming great?

Gronk I can concede. However all the other you mentioned were already top talents before they went to New England.  So that doesn't weigh on belechek ability to develop talent.

well for the kicker its about moments and he gets none of them without belichick

he used moss to basically revolutionize the nfl in 2007.

also theres someone like matthew slater who's the greatest special teamer of all time.

Nope. Belichick signed Welker because the Patriots couldn't cover him when he was with the Dolphins.

oh he complimented a player he signed?

if you ignore the fact he only started two games in 2006, and his production literally doubled across the board in 2007 (which is just willful ignorance) the worst thing you can say is belichick saw what no one else did and turned a bench warmer into one of the nfl's best receivers.

like what is your hurdle for improving and developing a player if wes welker in new england doesnt clear it

Well duh. Welker was a young and developing player with the Dolphins, who were a run oriented team at the time, and he didn't have Tom Brady throwing him the ball. Of course he had more production with the Patriots. That doesn't mean that Belichick created him.

this is what i responded to

he was a part time player in miami who couldnt beat out marty booker or a half dead chris chambers.

no, belichick did not find him practicing in an abandoned lot chasing a dream like some third rate mark wahlberg movie.

Brandon LaFell said the same thing when he went there.  I think it's probably true to a degree.  The Patriots wouldn't be as consistently excellent as they are (Tom Brady or no Tom Brady) without doing something a little different than the rest of the league.

But I think both players were also a bit salty that they weren't viewed by the staff as essential to this team in the way they believed themselves to be.

Welker was already good. I remember watching him and I know for a fact that Belichick said that his team couldn't cover the guy when they played against him. Steve Smith was only used on returns in his first couple of years with the Panthers, but he turned out t be great without Belichick coaching him too. I wonder how that was possible?

belichick is not a great coach because there are good players he did not coach?

this reminds me of Shula having the #1 offense in the league with Tedd Ginn as his #1 freaking WR

news alert everyone...talent wins ball games and good coaches win them whenever the talent isn't avliable ...just my 2 cents
