Thank you!  Everyone is obviously allowed to view things however they want, but I agree with the OP.  I might not agree with everything JR does, but I do realize I wouldn't have a team to hardcore cheer for if it weren't for him.

I'd still be a 49ers fan and pissed.

So, NOTHING this franchise has done in the last two decades gives any indication that our owner knows what he is doing? Not being the one fastest expansion teams to go to a conference championship game? Not getting to two Super Bowls? Not winning the most NFC South championships?

None of that?

Do I agree with what he did recently? No. But why such unnecessarily, inaccurate, and hyperbolic statements?

Correct. Jerry is an incompetent fool who has held this franchise back for 22 years. I'm at the point where he doesn't even deserve a ring.

I have been very busy this off-season with many trips to Charlotte for meetings. It paid off!

Some of you were wondering why I was not around much following last season's disaster. I pushed for change and I finally got what the Panthers needed to push this franchise to greatness.

Now, I have secured a job in Charlotte at least for the next year. Life is good! Deal with it!

No one missed you. Jerry has gone senile and took this franchise backwards

The rampant speculation (I know all we have) as to why this happened....which many seem to have now taken as fact and are spewing venomous anger toward Mr,. Richardson and even the team and players is a bit much.

Yep. So many people turning speculation into fact. We don't know why it happened. We can guess but until there is more to go on remember, it's just an assumption.

I mean laugh all you want, but yes he's the worst in football and bottom 5 in all of sports. For some reason a large portion of the fan base is blinded by he incompetence because he brought a team to Charlotte.

This franchise has suffered through some dark days and consistently has been mediocre for 18 years. Finally Jerry came to his senses, realized how incompetent he was, and hired Ernie Accorsi to help him. Ernie brought us Gettleman who happened to just be the GM in franchise history. Gettleman changed this franchise and this country club culture that this team always had. He made the tough and necessary decisions to field the best team possible. This led to the best 4 year stretch in franchise history.

Then out of nowhere, the worst owner in football decides things are going to well and he is going to fire Gettleman. Success didn't feel right to Jerry, it didn't feel like his normal mediocrity. So he took the sides of 2 players on the wrong side of 30 and hire back the man who put us in the original mess.

Jerry did all of this in only 48 hours. That alone would make him the worst owner in football. I haven't even gotten into the fact how he was the lead owner pushing the lockout, and the lead owner pushing replacement refs, and how he tanked a season for the health of the league, and how we are the only franchise without our logo at midfield, and how he threatened to leave Charlotte of the taxpayers and city didn't give him money, and how he fired his two sons, and how he ran Julius Peppers out of town, and his fake tears when people called him out about Greg Hardy, and how he ran Bill Polian out of town, and how he pushed a Sean Gilbert trade by mortgaging the future so the franchise could have a face, and much much more.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
