Marty Hurney Interview

Johnny Rockets

Recommended Posts

Below is a link to an interview Hurney did just a bit ago on WFNZ. I have not had a chance to listen but I imagine it might be of some interest:

One interview that I did listen to was with Alex Marvez from Sporting News and Panther pregame. I am not all that familiar with him but he has some strong opinions of the GMan/Huney move and for the most part, I agree with what he said. Worth a listen if you have time. The audio shows 40 mins but the interview is in the beginning and last about 12 mins.

Can someone give a recap I'm at work.

blah blah he's learned a lot since being released.  Learned to be more analytical and make business decisions from DG.   Acknowledges his past failures as being too emotional and friendly wiht players and their negotiations.

Not interested in future opportunities with other teams.  Here for this organization and the people in it.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. The idea of the man who tried to trade our first round pick which ended up being first overall Cam Newton, for the 1st pick in the second round to grab Jimmy Clausen, is back in charge. Flipping unbelievable.

One thing is certain...he did not close the door to staying longer during the FNZ interview. He had two opportunities to do so, and didn't.

He sounded like a man who knew the job was his for the long haul.
