A guy battling for the 4th WR spot always needs more practice. Always.

You're right, Funchess Should have gone...

ZING!

But for real, the whole thing was blown out of proportion, that's why people are joking about it. Would it have benefited Funchess and Shepard had they gone? Sure. Was it the end of the world that they missed it? Not at all. Did they have perfectly reasonable explanations for not going? Yes. Just because their life priorities aren't "Football first above all else", doesn't mean they aren't dedicated to their job, the team, or getting better. The older I've gotten the less I look at these guys as sports stars and the more I see them as dudes who play a game and are really good at it. They all have lives outside of football that are more important than some silly game. Who am I to tell them how to live their lives?

In my personal opinion, Benjamin getting fat over the offseason is more of a red flag to dedication than skipping the Baltimore trip, and I wasn't even that worried about Benji packing on the pounds if he met weight by Camp, and from all accounts, he has.

I don't remember anyone saying their priorities weren't straight. I know my position was that I didn't think the suggestion to celebrate an anniversary at a different time to take advantage of the chance at more work was so unreasonable. I also said I didn't fault Shep for staying at home.

Yeah but you attacked the meme man, you can't attack the meme. That's how you get meme'd 5x harder.

Remember Harambe (RIP in peace)? The trainers asked people to stop the jokes when the meme was dying down and that just caused a resurgence in Harambe memes. It's the Streisand effect.

    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
    • poo I doubt any Bucs fan would trade Baker for BY either lol.
