Name a GM who hasn't had a disappointing season.

I can name you one who had seven of them in an eleven year span.

Can name you another one whose teams went to the playoffs three out of four seasons he was in place.

Guess which one our team owner trusts more?

If 7 wins guaranteed a division title guess who would reach the playoffs 9 out of 11 seasons?

Solid point.

Hurney isn't the issue. We just need those other teams to stop winning more games than us.

Playoffs will be guaranteed!

dissapointing =/= worst team in the fuging league

counting 2010 as merely a dissappointment is a bar so low you couldnt slide paper under it.

hurney sucks ass at putting out winning teams, only reason he's around is because he's a kiss ass.

If Carolina had an experienced Cam in those mid 2000's teams we would have won at least one Super Bowl. Only thing missing from those teams was a franchise quarterback.

It kind of reminds of George Allen and the owner who replaced jack Kent cook with Redskins who said he  'enjoyed losing with others more and than winning with Allen '

As a long time PSL holder,  Not sure what to make of it but after watching what Gettleman did to the team last year, I knew they had no chance of winning and for the first time, sold my seats   He attempted to make it right this past year but I suspect  it was too late for an 81 year old owner and maybe said owner saw another lost and controversial year if two captains were talking to the press vs playing

i pay my 5.3 grand and hope for the best so I guess I'm the gullible one

If he becomes permanent I may have to find an interim team.

i guess if i really cared about football like i used to i'd probably be finding a new team

but after everything that has transpired in the last ten years and the fact that JR so much as dared to bring hurney back for the interim i am resigned to the fact that this mickey mouse club that JR calls a football franchise is going to run the way he likes it to run, regardless of whether or not anything makes football sense.

But at least people will feel better about themselves while they're losing.

That's what's important.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
