If you have a .edu e-mail address you can get sunday ticket for $100 through the app. I have it on Roku.

Interesting.....I do have an alumni email address that happens to end in ".edu" that I use as my primary email address.  That would be sweet af if that alone can save me some $$$.

Keep us updated. $100 for the season sure as hell beats paying a $30 tab every game

This. Although it can't be discussed here, there is no reason you can't watch every NFL game, live, without spending a dime out of pocket with a few minutes of research.

Why can't it be discussed here? It's perfectly legal to go to that subreddit.

Basically this is the student package. If you are an active student you can get the Sunday Ticket Streaming option for $24.99 a month. You just have to provide DirecTV with documentation proving you are an active student. I did this last year and it is totally worth it.

So you're saying it's not as simple as having an email address that ends in ".edu"?

Note: Your documents MUST include your first name, last name, university name, and a current date in order to be accepted.

Example of qualifying documents for students:

  • Current dated student ID card
  • Current semester class schedule (must be dated for the current semester)
  • Official school letter (must be dated for the current semester)
  • Current term registration receipt
  • Current term transcript
  • Current term tuition receipt
  • Any documentation issued by the educational institution that proves enrollment and includes your name, the institution's name and date issued/current term date will be reviewed and considered.

^^ Per the website that's what you need to get the student rate :/

Question: In the past I have not been able to get the Sunday Ticket package through DirectTV if I live in an area where DirectTV is available. Is that still the case? It would be well worth it but I will be frustrated if I cannot due to not being a full-time customer in a DirectTV market.

I had this issue too in the past but just rechecked and it's now available to me.  Check eligibility at nfl.com/nflsundaytickettv
