What? He did a good job on that play. Some of you just hate him so much that you can't give the man credit for anything.

I don't hate Dickson - he is what he is, an average TE. Just commenting that he was indeed the one who took CMC down, which made the original comment a bit ironic.

Yeah, Dickson slowed down when he ran into another player with a different color jersey. It's called making  a block and it's exactly what he was supposed to do on the play.  There is nothing whatsoever to complain about.

I think the best thing was no negative runs. even the small gains were good. Just not enough playing time from a little more than  a quarter. Wont see him play a whole game until game 1.

I will say it was encouraging to see them subbing him in and out so frequently with Stew. Makes me think he's going to get quite a few touches come the reg season

Y'all are taking a joke too seriously. I don't think anyone in their right mind would actually expect Dickson or any other player to be able to avoid that happening.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
