Trying to figure out how Gano has earned a spot over Butker in these projections. Also, I'd like to see us develop Armah.

Gano has massively outperformed Butker in training camp. It's not even close. Gano missing that kick against the Texans is probably the only reason there is even still some discussion

That miss was a cherry on top of a $hit Sunday that he has given us for awhile.  Butker was perfect under the lights at Fanfest too, Gano was not.  Butker has been money in the big stadium, just like he was at GT last year going 8-8 from 40+ which made him the only drafted kicker in Panthers history.  Gano needed clinched butt cheeks and body English to will an XP through on Saturday.  He absolutely must go.

Sure. As a fan I agree. As someone who was at almost every practice, Gano isn't getting cut.

I think Armah is a keeper but not sure he's ready for the roster yet. His offense is impressive, but his defense, as in protecting Cam, may need some work. I'm hoping he learns his chores 'cause he looks like a big upgrade over Tolbert when he gets the ball. I'm even worried that he won't be safe stashed on the PS.

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
