CB2, SS, and ST Needs To Be Addressed If The Panthers Want A SB

We need a solid CB in this league with some years of experience to be our CB2 on the outside (I'm not talking about Munnerlyn). Worley needs to learn from somebody like that

SS still weak, been weak for quite some time

ST, been good 2 years under Rivera. Fake punt for a big gain, penalties, will we ever return a punt or K for a TD? Hell no... ,returns against us, running into the kicker, but most importantly... we still have Gano. Just bad.

there's no use calling for these things now. we're going into the season with what we have, the time to sign people was during the offseason. some of us were saying loud and clear 3 months ago that our safety situation was crap but got told 93 year old Mike Adams was the answer and to stop worrying.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
