Everybody talks about how old he is but they were quick to want to give TD an extension.

And so what if he regress a little in his "old age", he goes from a top 3 LT to top 10?

As far as guaranteed money goes, I would prefer to give $30 million for two years to someone who has been a top 3 tackle in the recent past (last year) than $24m for someone you are "hoping" can become that.

LOL picked the wrong guy to talk about the TD extension I definitely didn't want to extend him and I love him to death

A lot of people either don't know or ignore this fact. After his guaranteed money, it's pretty much a great deal for us. His salary decreases every year.

Not exactly. That is not an easy contract to get out of. $14M dead money after year 2 is huge. We are pretty much stuck with him.

Oh that money could of gotten us wayyyyyy better players to make the team better.

Its not much of an upgrade. Its unfortunate what has happened to Oher but in my fantasy GM world I wish he was still playing at a solid level and we spent money elsewhere.. thats a big ass check going to Matt. That big ass check could of went to Eric Berry who would have made our defense insanely frightening on all tiers of our defense.. Desean Jackson for Shulas love of verticals with 250 pound WRs.. incredible tracking of the ball which would be magnified with Cams arm. Some people really either have that trait or not.

Or even someone worth a 3rd of that and just kept extra money for a young player in the future. I feel like we are a bit slow on the gun of going out to get players before other teams get to them or re sign them.

This is all poo talking btw. Its the second game of the season, I was never high on him before we signed him. He might improve, and hopefully keeps his brother Ryan playing at a high level and add a few years to his career. We really missed Ryan today, Tyler Larson is solid but Ryan is one of a kind center.

You forgot something....does the player want us?

Yes I'm aware of that but as I said, Kalil was our target.

Now if Kalil signed elsewhere, I have no idea if Whitworth or anyone else would've came here. However, when you see what we were willing to spend at the position I'm guessing it wouldn't have been too hard to convince someone else to come here

You don't know though but you always act like you do, and that's why posters like you make my eyes bleed.

You said "anyone who thinks we ignored Whitworth is a f*cking idiot" implying you know for a fact that we didn't ignore Whitworth. So let's take a look in the mirror first because from what I know you're the "f*cking idiot"

I'm sorry I should've said anyone who knows for a fact that we ignored whitworth is a fuvking idiot, You fuging idiot. As you've shown numerous times on this board with your God complex and calling our former GM a fat ass. Canadians are suppose to be nice, go fug yourself bitch.

So let's say I did know for a fact we didn't reach out to Whitworth, how would that make me or anyone for that matter a "f*cking idiot"?

And yes, I can be nice... sometimes. It's tough but I don't do well with overly sensitive, insecure females... not a strong suit, that much I do know

He was bad today...Williams was likely worse

did miss Khalil calling out blitzes

buffalo defense is pretty good too

Not a lot of talk how terrible Williams was which is somewhat understandable as he wasn't given a huge contract like Kalil was, but I'm ready to put Moton at RT and see what he's got.

Maybe we can sucker someone with a terrible OL into taking DW in exchange for a decent TE.

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
