Anyone just saw Mccaffrey's replacement at Stanford

I really hope one day I can root for the failure of my team.

Seems like the way to go, just can't get over wanting to cheer for them.

Sux, but I think I can get to where I really hate them some day.

Facts are facts, learn to deal with them and you won't need to cope the rest of your life.

It's called just not being a homer, McCaffrey sucks

You have nothing of substance and gauge everything off of your "feelings".

What facts? A kid in college had a good day against UCLA?  Got it.

Someone is coping here, not sure it's me.

The problem, to the extent there is one, is how CMC is being used, i.e. play calls. Don't run him between the tackles with our line. Put the ball in his hands in space. Fixed.

But all offseason I heard how he can run through the tackles cause he did it at Stanford

You do know Love was averaging 180 yards rushing  per game before this game right?

I'm not the coping pleas, I already knew what was gonna happen. See Gaffney, Taylor and Gerhart

he said he could run through the tackles... he wants to run through the tackles... he just can't...you don't draft a HB top 10 to not run him through the fuging tackles

If your kid swears he can jump his bike a hundred feet across a ravine, are you going to let him try to do it repeatedly? No, you're going to direct him into something where he can use those skills successfully and still fulfill his dream. He has Edelman, etc., written all over him, but can do it out of the backfield too, and returns. Put him in a position to succeed. Between the tackles, at least between ours, apparently ain't it.

He doesn't have great power, his power is on par with Mccaffrey. He's 180 pounds that's able to run between the tackles cause of the Stanford system.

Just because you are 180lbs doesn't mean you are weak. Love's lower body strength is amazing. He's not Fournette obviously but his strength, especially for his size, is damn good. Good enough to play in the NFL anyway.

I don't know what makes you think he's a system back. Do you seriously think running between the tackles is exclusive to Stanford?

Well bully for you!

You win the cookie.  Now celebrate our terrible rookie in silence while the rest of us watch the games.

So I guess it's coincidence Toby Gerhart, Stefan Taylor and Tyler Gaffney all put massive numbers behind that same system, yet none of them did squat in the NFL.

What are the odds

Nah you never had to enter this thread but you did. I'm sorry I want my team to be successful while you want players that don't even fit our system

Your definition of "massive numbers" must be different than mine. There is a reason CMC was a first round prospect and those guys weren't even in the consideration.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
