FANTASTIC article at Panthers.com from team photographer Melissa Melvin-Rodriguez.

"My take:  Cam being Cam"

I love the weekly series they're doing with her pix and commentary.

One of her pictures gives indisputable proof that MVP Cam, Cam having fun Cam, is BACK with a vengeance!

After wide receiver Devin Funchessicon-article-link.gif’ second touchdown, Newton came running down the sideline, his head fearlessly facing a sea of Patriots fans, and his tongue fully out in haughty celebration.

Personally, I loved it, as did a couple of local photographers near me who clicked away as he passed by and had huge smiles afterwards. That’s another thing about photographing Cam: It is almost impossible to remain unaffected when you witness so much genuine joy and passion for the game on the other end of your lens. It is a photographer’s dream and, lucky for me, my full-time job.

THAT'S MY QB!!!!!!!

Go read Melissa's full article.  More great pix

I think it was more like they told Shula to sit down and be quiet and just let Cam go out there and make him look good.

3 out of the 4 games this year , have been more than adequately called by Shula.   Cam was missing wide open receivers , making bad throws, or making bad decisions the first 3 weeks.  First 3 weeks, line play was ok to bad in spots.  Even after this week there were still some missed assignments/etc that took place.  Especially whenteams run stunts on us. That's undeniable (by most rational people).  Sunday Cam looked like we all know him to be.  He was decisive, had control of the offense, making great throws and got rid of the ball fairly quickly.   The offensive line held up for the most part and gave him that extra half second to throw.   Every time Cam plays bad it's not Shula's fault,  and every time Cam plays good it wasn't because Shula stopped making play calls.
