Falcons having trouble filling Arthur's Anus

LOL, losing 21 to 7 to Chicago in the 4th? I would leave too.

In his defense, we did end up coming back and winning that game.

But, I don't see nearly as many empties as the picture of MBS shows. The notion of the Falcons having an extremely fair weather fanbase is true. I live in the heart of Atlanta and didn't hear a word about them last year until the NFCCG. I have heard more people talk about UGA in the past week than I have about the Falcons in the past six months.

People may not realize it, but we actually have one of the better fanbases around.

I live in Atlanta and this is fake news. I went to 6 games last year and all the games were sold out. Ticket prices are ridiculous for MB is the problem.

College football rules our state. The Dawg talk is seriously crazy right now. It's not that we don't have a rabid fan base, it's just that most don't care about the Falcons. Especially with UGA being undefeated and people talking Alabama east(which is way premature)

That place draws more soccer fans than football... pretty sad. ATL United is kicking ass though.

I'll admit - the Atl stadium is pretty well done. And those ATL UNITED games are a freakin PARTY (they could have saved so much money by not installing seats -- nobody sits down the entire time)

For those of you heading to CARvsATL on NYE this year... beer prices are like $7, bottle water is $2. Great food all over the place instead of just on the main concourse, and at reasonable prices for that too.  Say what you will about the way the outside looks (and it does look like a butt), once you're inside - it's not half bad.

This looks like warmups, not game time.

It is after warm ups. When Purrcussion is coming out of the tunnel, they're starting Panthers player intros. The Saints have already been announced at this point and are already on the field. There's maybe 15 minutes between when this photo is taken and the start of the game.

And sadly, there are probably 7,500 people still standing in security lines outside the stadium.

Meanwhile, back in reality:

Pretty sure the people who complain about our fanbase have never:

a) been to another NFL stadium

b) been to BofA stadium

c) both a and b

Soooo reality is that the Panthers give out growl towels for 1pm games? Come on dude. That is the Seattle playoff game. Not at all an accurate depiction of the typical regular season home game.

There are plenty of things wrong with the fan experience at BOA, and nothing about the fan experience at other NFL stadiums makes that untrue. We show up late. We leave early. We tell other fans to sit down. I'm all for a "realistic" view of our home crowd, but the video you posted just is not it.

I've gotten freebies at 1 PM regular season games. Not sure if a towel is one of them. And btw, that video WAS a 1 PM game. Find me another video of the fans from the field, where you have an unobstructed view of the entirety of the stadium.

We don't have a fanbase problem, we have an entrance/security problem. You're SUPPOSED to be out tailgating before the game. You're not supposed to need an hour to get through the security line.

I've only heard about the sit down thing on the huddle - never in the stadium. That is, unless you're one of those dolts who cheer when we're on offense.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
