Eagles injury updates

I think more wet conditions favor the run game rather than the passing game and amazingly this year right now our passing game is the strength and our run game weaker, while the Eagles have a strong run defense and weaker pass defense. Ultimately though it's a negligible impact for the most part but if the two teams really are as evenly matched as some think, then it could matter (I honestly think we're much better than them so that it won't matter but who knows).

I mean, I guess I get what you are saying. I was just thinking the opposite. Our Offense, IMO, is rain proof. We have the Hog Mollies up front. If the iggles crowd the line, like teams have been doing so far this year. We can use our bigger WRs to move the chains. I don't mean down the field, more dink and dunk. It is easier to do that on days like today. Because the WRs know where they are going.

If they play us more straight up, and give Cam the credit he has earned. We should be able to run the ball with some success. Push them around, and beat them down.

My point is. For the most part. We are a bigger, more physical team that most teams. And that kind of team can play no matter what the weather.

I don't know why rain would have an impact on how much physicality matters. More that the physical conditions of a downpour make it hard to throw the ball accurately and harder to catch it. Don't have those issues with running the ball.

Rain can make down field throws more difficult. I stated that our bigger WRs can do a more dink and dunk on them. WRs have the advantage in the rain.

It makes all throws more difficult. Cam is still not a very accurate short range passer either.

It can be fun to watch. IMO, we are built to play like that. Hog Mollies on the line. Big bruising back, with CmC flitting around. Big WRs who can muddle down the field. Seems like we would play well in the rain.

We also have a down hill attacking Defense. I mean, dang. Rain? Monsoon? Bring it on mfers.

But @thomas96 stated that is would not be good for us. I just wondered what that was supposed to mean?

With the front both teams have? Sounds like a low scoring and ugly TNF game in the rain

Light rain I think is said to favor a pass attack....probably more a Brady type attack.  I think a light rain really favors Philly.   DBs struggle more in coverage .

Light rain IMO makes Cam’s bullet passes tougher to catch.  But maybe the CMC factor can shine with an emphasis there and not him throwing missles on all those 15 ish yards routes

   Ok, then. Discussion over.

You're going to try to say Cam is a top 10 short range passer? That's silly. He's not terrible but it's still not his strength. He's missed McC many times this year, and had many passes that aren't on the money that the receiver may still catch but get closed in on earlier because of it. Cam's getting better but he is by no means a great short range passer. Intermediate, and particularly deep balls? Close to best in the league. Not short passes though.

I think you are giving the iggles far too much credit. If we want, we can run most of our Offense tonight. The only difference would be fewer deep passes.

Eagles are a pass happy team from the old Andy Reid school.

Cam’s best passes are lasers.

You may be right about the iggles. But that Cam comment is just not true. He has shown amazing touch these last 3 games.

I’m not saying can’t show good touch.

his bread and butter and some of his best throws are lasers with little opening/separation. Light rain weakens those IMO because it makes that style tougher.  We will see. Hopefully rain misses or sporadic.
