Mayo is lost?

Jumping under routes that are already covered, Over running running plays and a scrambling QB.  Need to slide TD to middle LB because so far Mayo is a joke.

Because Pep is old.   He is a spot player in order to maximize what he can do.   Which we are doing.  Make Pep a starter and you just wear him down and then he can’t come in and make those big plays

Regarding Pep, "starting" isn't the plan, nor should it be. Judicious use is. Put him in in situations where he'll be most effective, do the most damage, etc. It's one of the relatively few coaching strategies I'm on board with right now. That one is working...well. 37 year old HOFer for sure still putting up numbers, and some of his plays that don't show in the usual stats shouldn't be forgotten. He's as much a disruptive force as ever-as long as we keep him fresh and don't overdo it. The sack last night was a great example. Romo noted he came in, and boom. He all but called that one too. I bet it crossed his mind.

He didn't prepare to be a starter all week and has ST duties. 

Philly runs a pretty complex offense.

Anyoen would have struggled in his position.

Mayo was decent out there, certainly not Luke but decent....

 

Peppers was absolutely brought in as a specialist, they called it “situational” when he most recently signed... Don’t know what’s up with CJ, either, be awesome if he gave us a few signs why he’s out there....

Mayo was far from the biggest problem out there. The middle started getting hit in the short passing game when he came in, but I can’t hold that against him too much because like was said before he probably wasn’t included much in the game planning for vs Philly.
