He's on the practice squad! I hate that Hurney is our GM as much as the next guy, but it's not like this is Matt Kalil banking millions to do his best turnstile imitation. This kid was one of the best college kickers ever, and he's got the yips. If they can't fix him then cut him loose, FROM THE PRACTICE SQUAD.

We already had a promising young kicker on our roster/practice squad that we squandered away.

Now we’ve got this bum.

    • I like the reclamation project approach. Not sure the failure rate is any worse than a 1st round rookie.  Actually I like the throw the kitchen sink at it Reclamation, drafting, take every shot you have. Short of that ridiculousness of mortgaging your future for a serious long shot like Bryce.    Also, man up. Pro up. If you are a QB in that situation, a lame duck on your way out, the best thing you can do is be 100% the same as you were when things were the man. People will be watching.
    • That’s what I was afraid of. I know more than I should about that. Getting off that stuff is horrible, I hope he can come out of it okay.
    • All depends on where the QB is taken. Top 5 pick, even top 10, i don't think Bryce is kept. Late 1st or 2nd rounder, it's possible I guess, but I can still see it causing issues in the locker room. Rookie QBs should sit the 1st year most of the time. QBs who sit do better.  Im of the mind though that you build your offensive system and then find the guy that can be dropped into that system rather than spending 3 or 4 years trying to build around a QB while hoping he develops.
