Hornets vs Magic

Hornets have a great locker room, dare I say one of the best in the NBA. I've never heard any negative comments ever mentioned about the front office, staff, or players (save D.J. Augustin when he got salty that the ***cats elected not to bring him back because of Kemba).

Ultimately I think this allows the Dwight Howard's, Stephen Jackson's, Boris Diaw's, Jeremy Lin's, Al Jefferson's, Jeremy Lamb's, Jason Richardson's and Gerald Wallace's of the NBA to revitalize their careers.

The Hornets have even been able to prolong careers and get good seasons out of players like Corey Maggette, Kwame Brown, Josh McRoberts, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Ben Gordon, etc.

Obviously this isn't the case with every player (i.e Lance Stephenson, Spencer Hawes, and Roy Hibbert). But I believe if there is talent left; MJ, Clifford, Silas, and co. will get it out of the players (i.e. Howard).

The guys look like they are really having fun out there and save Cleveland and maybe Boston I don't see a team in the East we couldn't take in 7.

Right now, Cleveland can't even beat the Knicks.

There is a lot of homer-ism in that post but I like it..

Kemba is the head of the team - and when you have an EGO-less leader - backed up by a truly humble vet like Marvin = everyone else falls into line.. kinda like San Antonio was with Duncan.. they have fun and know how to work - no one complains about getting shots - and if they have a problem: Cliff has been praised by many on being Real and Honest with his players.. we have a good foundation for a franchise - but the consistency needs to continue..

November and December are going to be tough months..

This team has the opportunity to very good when healthy.

First Unit of Kemba, Batum, MKG, Marvin, Howard

Second Unit of MCW, Lamb, Bacon, Frank, Cody

Rotational: Monk, Graham, O'Bryant

Extras: Stone, Paige (G Leauge), Mathiang (G League)

I'd rather Lamb start for now on.. More aggressive scorer which this team needs.  Batum is way to passive.

    • I hope not. 3rd-5th round QB's are historically awful. Most of the time that team is just drafting another QB in the first the following year. Look at the Saints, if they continue to suck this year they are just taking a QB. And if they do they just threw away a 2nd round pick that they just drafted. We did the same poo with Clausen, Greer, Pike, that guy we drafted a few years ago who is so irrelevant I forgot his name...  Just take a 1st round QB if Bryce isn't the answer and be prepared to live with it
    • This reminds me on Madden where you create an alternate uniform and the pre-recorded voice overs talk about how hideous your uniform looks. 🤣
    • There are people on this forum that just want to see a lot of passing yards....number go up. That's all it is, really. They are thirsting for a 350-400 yard game. The idea that Jameis Winston is going to come in and play like a star and lead us to wins is ludacris. He's the 3rd fuging string for a 2-5 team and has played horrible for years now. Sure, passing numbers will go up but you'll also get a lot of dumb plays, pick 6's, and incompletions en route to a frustrating bad offensive performance, just in a different way. I think these people are yearning for another Delhomme situation, and the odds of that happening are very very slim. It's way more likely Howell or Jameis comes in and looks like Jack Plummer or Andy Dalton did in the preseason. There just isn't that much good quarterbacking in this league right now. And if we draft another QB in the first round, there is a good chance they bust. It's not a guaranteed carrot. The reality is, as mediocre as Bryce has been, the risk of bringing someone else in in-season and releasing Bryce becuase you aren't happy with his current performance is staggeringly high. Don't want to re-up his contract and search for a solution in the offseason? Sure, I'm on board. Bryce hasn't been good enough to warrant a second contract. But It is very. very unlikely that bringing someone else in midseason is going to give this team more wins.
