John Clayton just said on ESPN Radio (Regarding Peppers)

He said right after that Cleveland might want to trade Brady Quinn, I don't know if he was saying to the Panthers (I hope not) or if it was unrelated. I am drugged up on flu meds but my wife was next to me and I asked her if I heard it right (about pep being traded) and she said I did.

Trade deadline for franchised player has already passed.

I mean this is John Clayton...I feel like he knows his stuff regarding the rules. But like someone else said, we would have to be 0-5 for this to happen. I'm not worried about his trade value. Everyone in the league knows he is loafing because he doesn't want to play for us. My guess would be to the Patriots for one of their first rounders. They know that they need some serious help with the pass-rush in order to win the super bowl. I would actually welcome this scenario considering we would probably ask for their Raiders pick or their later 1st rounder with some extra compensation...

Yea I think I could only settle for a 1st round pick. We will need one next year.

Dont quote me on this but I think the Raiders' pick was in 2011. If Fox did this it would mean two things, 1) he has lost Peppers and probably other players 2) he is already gearing up for next season. I wouldn't mind them doing this as I think we have some DE's that can play and right now they are no better or worse than Peppers.

I don't think at this point he could contribute much to NE since he would be starting at square 1 even if they would want him solely as a pass rusher. Plus I don't think they have the cap room to take on 17 large nor do I see where that would come from. Yes the Seymour 1st round pick is 2011.

I doubt Pep gets traded this year, it just doesn't seem practical for any other team to do it.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
