11-5 or fire Rivera

The only loss that should have happened was to the saints. That was an ass beating.

The coaching staff failed us miserably against Chicago and Philly.

The coaching and game plan this season has been so bad I have no idea how we are 6-3.

Didn't want to make a new thread but this is worth posting somewhere. Ron in his press conference was asked how he felt about the game first question and he responded, "well my gut feeling is we missed some opportunities." He's gotta know that this is a running joke by now and gotta be messing around.

So what you’re saying is the 2 fumbles weren’t missed opportunities. Wonder what the story would be if he would have thrown Stewart under the BUS.  I’m thinking it would sound something like Horrible Coaching and throwing his players on the sword to save his own ass.

Seriously dude. Of course there are missed opportunities every game that's what's so outrageous about Ron repeating it 10 times every press conference. Rivera has thrown players under the bus plenty of times and has never ever taken responsibility for his own mistakes and his coaching staff's mistakes. It's always about "execution" by the players with Ron.

Has any team ever fired a coach after an 11-5, 2 years removed from a Super Bowl appearance and MVP quarterback season?

im all about firing Rivera and Shula, but if we got a chance to get hot and take it all, then I'd rather see it.

now if we go 11-5 and get blown out our first playoff game that would suck,... but I just don't see it.

Chargers fired schottenheimer after 14-2

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
