Before You Run Out and Buy That Xbox One X

If you are thinking of buying it for yourself or for your kids, there is one thing to consider with this console.  The file sizes are huge.  Most games are around 100GB and I seen one as high as 178GB.  If you have a slow or capped internet provider, this is going to give you issues.

If you have a slow or capped internet provider and bought an Xbox One X, I'm gonna laugh everytime you bitch about those file sizes.

Some people don’t have good options where they live. My options are either unlimited complete poo internet or fiber with a 300gb cap. It’s not even a debate

Fiber with a data cap is like, the most oxymoron thing ever.

It’s with suddenlink I’ve only ever gotten close to it once, but it’s either them with a 85mbps/d and a 25mbps/u with a 300gb cap or century link which is 3mbps/d and .5/u with no cap

of those two options which would you choose??

I've got a 4TB hooked up to my OG XB1, and I run games off of it.  Everyone's getting that 4k sticker shock on the file sizes =)

Good heads up for folks though =)

That's understandable. Buying the One X with those limitations is not.

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
