Weak move by Jon Beason

Gantt getting pissy.

this. writing this article is an extremely weak move. I thought the tone in the article last night that was posted somewhere around here sounded interesting when hementioned "Beason showed up to his paid radio" session...

Get over it Gantt. FFS, the last person you are going to want to bash is Jon fuging Beason.

With all of our problems on the field - the FO biggest concern is Beason possibly pissing off the million dollar man in the media? If the Coaching staff was doing their job, Beason wouldn't have to take this kind of action to begin with.

As for Gantt....His blurb is oooozing jealousy because WFNZ got the story last week and will get the follow up this week. I (the fans ??) have no problem with Beason not telling Gantt anything. I'd rather hear it straight from Beason on the radio anyway. Jon Beason and the Huddle are my only hardcore sources for Panther info and it looks to stay that way!

true..the hate in this thread is strong..for Gantt

But theres not many people that cover the panthers..so people will still go read his stuff.

I don't normally knock Gantt, but in this instance he deserves it. He needs to get the f**k over himself when he is attacking a guy who is in the media a lot. Beason posts his blogs, is on the radio once a week, is easy to access by most reporters, is out doing things where fans can come see him...

This one time he doesn't want to talk to the media and Gantt wants to cry about it?

That's weak. Very, very weak.

from Reed

I’m really disappointed Jon Beason didn’t stick around to talk to the media after calling out teammate Julius Peppers on radio last week. Beason is a stand-up guy, but ducking the media was lame. When you come out and say something, stand by it. Don’t hide.

OMG another sandy vag!

what did he not stand by?

Where did he say he was going to confront Pep and then disclose the entire exchange to the media following the game on Sunday?

these half-wit dip brains are hilarious.

I emailed Pack, included the links, and then asked him to confront DG the next time DG stops by to stink up the wfnz studio and airwaves about this. Pack's response:

"That is unbelievable"

he did the same type thing last year when he was whining about smith not answering to the press for the fight with lucas and this was while the season was going on and well after the incident. everyone had moved on but he kept insisting that smith had to be questioned about it. i commented about it then and gantt answered back that smith had to answer those questions, that he owed it to the fans. i kept asking why and he wouldn't give any answer.

gantt does have more of an ear to the org than anyone but he sure can't handle it when someone won't talk to him but they talk to someone else.

I won't, you can count on that. Sam Mills Fan brought up a good point a while back. If you want Gantt to suffer some, don't read his articles, don't click links that go to his articles or blog. Gantt's job depends on us reading his stuff. Over 3/4 of Gantts readers are from this board. If everyone here just stopped reading what he publishes, he would be out of a job soon.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
