Dude, he has been injured. Give the guy a break. He has a serious neck injury. It’s  not his fault the staff has not IR’d him.

Thats a scary injury.

Are you sure? Jerry’s boy has an active roster bonus and prob has a little more pull than he should in terms of remaining on the 53.

I wonder if Stewart might miss a game or two. Never wish injury on any player , but this would actually force the coaches to use our other backs more and see if they are more productive than Stew against a very good Vikings defense.

Hell I actually want them to give McCaffrey 25 carries just to see what happens. He'd probably get over 100 yards rushing and tack on some receiving too.

Agree completely. Hopefully this will force Rivera’s hand.

To a very tiny degree I keep thinking in the back of my mind, what if we were essentially out of playoff contention right now--would we see McCaffrey carrying the load in the run game to see what he has or would the coaching staff still ride Stew? I really very badly want to see McCaffrey get 20+ carries in a game and be given a chance to develop a rhythm, both running in between the tackles and outside. Right now he's used sparingly as a runner and pretty much mostly on predictable outside runs. We need to see what he can do when he's consistently getting the ball both inside and outside. We've seen tiny glimpses of it, like in the ATL game where he had some really solid production but still just on 13 carries and really never got a chance to get in a groove.

Julius Peppers called Mario Addison a "premiere rusher" today, and says he's proud of how far he's come since knowing him as a rookie in Chicago.

Julius Peppers: “I don’t think we’ll have two bad games in a row (on defense). The preparation will be there.”

Cam on how he can play better against the Vikings this season vs. 2016: “I have to do a better job of getting the ball out of my hands.”

Shouldn’t matter. It’s not Clay’s job to lose. He’s shown nothing as a WR. Byrd should be starting now, period.

This coaching staff has consistently let talent muster while inferior players get majority of snaps. All i was getting as was Byrd gets more opportunities with Clay out.

Kaelin Clay banged his shoulder on his catch at NO. Didn’t practice today but says “I’ll be alright.”

Tyler Larsen says that not practicing today is precautionary. He's not sure how he hurt his foot - "lots of things happen in the pile"

Peppers, on Minnesota's o-line - "We stick with what we do. We don't necessarily pay attention to the offensive line. They're somewhat like a gray matter. They're just...there."
