What QB do you like...

That is a realistic pick for the panthers... That means no Sam Bradford/Clausen/Snead etc (McCoy and The Golden Calf of Bristol I think could drop to the 2nd).

I don't know much about the QB's out there since I haven't done much research on it, but I have seen Tony Pike (has really impressed me), Jake Locker (Played ok), and Tim Hiller (not sure what to make of him at this point).

Who do you guys like the best?

I like Pike but think he will end up going in the 1st the way he has been playing. I would love The Golden Calf of Bristol but he will most likely go to the Jags in the 1st. I think it is a little too early to predict who will have what value right now (hell its hard to do that in april let alone October). So I will say undecided. But if either Pike or The Golden Calf of Bristol is there when we pick we would be golden.

Thers a lot of system..QB this year.Great class for WCO QBs too.lol

Snead stock is falling but he has the arm..and is solid

Pike has great size..A poor mans Flacco..but he has sortof a weak arm.and will be a old rookie.

Clausen has great talent around him..

Max hall may go 5th all the way too UDFA

I dont think Locker comes out this year..

Pike is really accurate passer, seems to make good decisions.

Snead is a mess right now, his confidence is shot.

Here is a list of the top QB prospects in the 2010 draft and my thoughts on each.

Jimmy Clausen - Notre Dame

Like him or not, Clausen is the safest pick in the draft as far as QB is concerned. He has a big arm, solid YPA average (7.2) and probably most important is the fact he plays under center and in a pro style offense in college. The biggest knock agaisnt him is his decission making. In 2008 he threw for 25 touchdowns but also threw 17 picks.

Sam Bradford - Oklahoma

Bradford could have been the #1 overall pick in 2009 but decided to stay in college to try and win a championship. That hasn't turned out so well. I'm wasn't sold on him last year and still not. His best beat will be to end up in a WCO and that could be very possible with Washington. Great decission making and an unbelievable 10.1 YPA average. Same could be said of other "system" QBs though and while I think Bradford is better than Colt Brennan, it's not by much in my opinion.

Jevan Snead - Ole Miss

Snead seems to be a project QB but one with enough potentiel to go late in the 1st round to early 2nd round. Kind of reminds me of another Mississippi QB that was looked at in the same way, Brett Farve. Not making any predictions here just looking at similarities coming out of college. His biggest strength is his arm strength with his accuracy and decission making being his weaknesses...wow is this Farve's son? Or maybe he's somehow related to JaMarcus Russel. High risk, medium reward.

The Golden Calf of Bristol - Florida

Let's start out like this; high risk, high reward. The Golden Calf of Bristol, as a QB, will either become one of the greats or a bust. And unlike what some have suggested, there is a chance of either happening. There are two things in the NFL that can not be taught and that is size and heart. And unlike some other past QB in this position it appears that The Golden Calf of Bristol has a good head on his shoulders and something inside of that head.

Jake Locker - Washington

I like Locker and it seems he has a great combination of athlecticism and mechanics which is rare for the "athlectic" style of QB coming out of college. What scares me about Locker is 1) his lack of arm strength and 2) how he really has come out of nowhere in just one season. That's not to say he couldn't make it in the NFL but memories of Andre Woodson a couple of years back come to mind.

Colt McCoy - Texas

McCoy is a good college QB. He has some very impressive stats and a very impressive career. Good size, good arm strength, good decission making, good accuracy, good YPA, good mechanics. What he lacks is what The Golden Calf of Bristol has, that moxy. I'm just not sure if good in college equals good in the NFL when great in college doesn't mean good in the NFL. I think he has way more upside as one of the top backup QB in the league for 15 years than as a starter.

Max Hall - BYU

If you like The Golden Calf of Bristol then you like Hall. The biggest difference is that Hall is much less of risk, going in the 2nd to 3rd round, but with also less reward. He can be a starter in the NFL but probably wouldn't experience instant success and his size (6-1, 201) will be an issue.

Zac Robinson - Oklahoma State

I see Robinson in the same role as McCoy, probably a better back up then starter, but I like Robinson better than McCoy as a poteniel starter. Could be the best value of the draft at the QB position.

Tony Pike - Cincinnati

Great size and decission making but he has a noodle for an arm. WCO or backup QB.

Pat Delvin - Delaware

Chances are that Delvin will stay in school for another year and see his stock rise even more in the 2011 draft but the possibility of a rookie pay scale may change that. He would end up having the strongest arm in the draft but would be riding the coat tails of Flacco seeing how he transfered from Penn State to Delaware. Haven't seen him play at all so apart from him having a big arm I have nothing else.

Locker, Bradford, or McCoy will be the best 3 QBs taken in this draft and hopefully one will be a Panther. I have liked Locker for a couple of years now but didn't know if he was just going to be The Golden Calf of Bristol Lite or an actual QB that could develop into a pro. I think he has the arm and definitely the athleticism to be a pro QB. I like his delivery and if he is a smart guy then I'd definitely take him in the second round.

I think that Colt McCoy will go in the top 10. I think he can make all the throws that Bradford can and he is more athletic than Bradford. The only thing that worries me about both of those guys (Bradford and McCoy) is that they are in shotgun systems and rarely (if ever) take snaps from under center.

One thing that Flacco, Ryan, Stafford, and Sanchez all had in common was that they played in pro-style systems, whic I think has a lot to do with their early success. Every QB coming out this year I believe plays in a system where they are primarily in the shotgun.

They all also stare down their receivers which will lead to a lot of INTs.

    • It wasn’t completely his fault, but outside of two throws and one or two scrambles he didn’t do much to help. His accuracy was all over the place, numerous passes that were placed poorly and didn’t give the receiver a good chance to catch the ball or do anything with it after. He also continues to display terrible pocket awareness. Even the sacks could have been avoided, they weren’t immediate like the pressure we got on Shough at times. Bryce just often has no feel for pressure and stands there waiting to get sacked after numerous seconds have passed.
    • I really fuging hate this era in so many ways.  I look at those Adin Ross and Neon kids, and I just wonder why tf are they famous?  Why would anyone be desperate enough to gain THAT audience that they’d risk money, career, disciplinary action to go up there and associate with those fuging dweebs?  And back in my day, racist peers got their ass beat.  And not endorsing or approving bully culture, but checks and balances and all…  had those two been bullied, or at the very least humbled, they wouldn’t be famous and glorified for being the fuging idiots they are now.  It seriously pisses me off… they both have done and said multiple, openly racist stuff and major media keeps pushing them, talking about them, and propping them up… and then dummies like Puka who don’t need the platform or exposure lend their celebrity to them.  fuging idiot… and even the other streamers, I don’t get - Speed, Kai…  I don’t understand making nobodies famous at all, but there is at least entertainment value to some degree there, and I could see how young, impressionable kids would find them something to aspire to (sadly), or view as “cool.”  But Ross and Neon?  They’re just shitty, shitty nerds with big ass mouths. I’ve went back recently and watched some classics (in two very different eras and categories 😂)  like Robocop and Idiocracy.  And what I find fascinating is how both movies illustrate how stupid society became by showing what the citizenry is entertained by.  In both, society became anti-intellectual and the citizenry were entertained by lowest denominator, primal-type absurdity - poo like, “Ouch! My Balls!”  Or on Robocop, a guy is a watching a show where they are smashing cakes on ladies’ breasts and then a guy says a line as the camera zooms in like, “I’d buy that for a dollar!” and the audience thinks it’s hilarious.  That’s where I feel like we are now.  Like who watches that clip with Puka and thinks any of that poo is funny or cool?  If I was Puka, I’d honestly be wondering why tf I’m hanging out with these beta ass, racist, cretin ass weirdos.
    • 7 wins this year and some of those against really good teams and yall think Canales might get fired? Lol Good luck getting a better coach in here if that happens.
