Will never get released as "punishment", nor should he be for a silly technicality of a rule.

Would be fun watching Cleveland claim him, though.Ā

A rule is a rule. Ā What good is it if it’s not enforced? Ā And what good is it if it’s enforced for some but not others?

Meh.Ā  Speed limits are a rule.Ā  But if a cop pulls me for going 1 over, I'm going to be pissed and the judge is going to laugh and throw the ticket out.Ā

Depends on the jurisdiction. Ā Probably true since in most (maybeĀ all?) places in the United States you technically can’t even go to jail for speed alone unless you’re going 15+ over.

But in this case theĀ player being released is the rule.
