A Panthers win and a playoff berth weren't the only Christmas gifts for patients at Charlotte's Levine Children's Hospital.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton hosted his "Christmas with Cam Newton" event, put on by his foundation, as 14 patients were invited to Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Bank of America and got to watch the action from a luxury suite.

The patients received gifts and hung out on the field with Newton after the game.

"I just wanted a hug. It's really special. (Cam) is a really good person," one patient said.

I sat beside some redneck POS and his young son at the game yesterday. Both of them cheered against the Panthers the entire game.

Halfway through, he informed me that he wasn’t a Bucs fan, and he didn’t actually dislike the Panthers, but “we just can’t cheer for our hometown team with Cam Newton as the quarterback, we just can’t support him y’know?”

This lowlife spent the entire game trashing Cam, and right before the touchdown that won the game, I looked over and they were both gone. Vanished.

fug that guy and everyone like him. Cam is not perfect, but he’s a genuinely good person and one hell of a football player. I’m proud to say he is the quarterback of my team.

Unfortunately, this retarded fan base is filled with those kinds of people. I don't understand how they even enjoy football and basketball at all with their racist mindsets.

I would hope that is the exception to rule. Cam is one of the best if not the best thing that ever happened to this team. I don't let people like the one at the stadium get me down.  Look at any childs face when Cam tosses them a ball, and you realize how lucky we as Panther fans are.

I have been told repeatedly on expert authority that these kinds of people don't exist and are just figments of overactive imaginations.

That's my quarterback! I'm down here in Ft. Myers FL for the holidays... purposely wore my # 1 jersey yesterday and took a victory lap around town after the win. Got a lot of "feedback" about Cam and just laughed.

I had one sitting behind me the eagles game.  Drunk off his ass exclaiming cam wasn't even a high school qb and could never take a team to a super bowl. Why spend your hard earn money to come and be miserable.
