You play the way you practice. PRACTICE?

Yes "we talking about practice"

Is this team putting in the extra work like the 2015 team?

Remember Lafell comments about our practice vs New England? What would make Thomas Davis wife speak on practice? Why do we look so unprepared at times?

From what this team watch in film room to the field is lacking. This week this team should be PRACTICING new plays and new formations if they play on winning a playoff game. It should be a few things the Saints never seen before. This is the playoffs, not a regular season game

I agree on practice, but I think new plays was the biggest issue, but lacking focus on the small things.  Communication absolutely effing sucked.  Just watching, it looked like when cam would make a change at the line, the receiver would misunderstand the change and run the wrong route, meaning that verbage or hand signals were either lost during the week by cam or by the receivers, or possibly both.  If we're not on the same page next week, game will be over at half.

No way does a team go 11-5 while beating two 13-3 teams without great preparation. Unfortunately sometimes players don’t execute and things don’t go as planned but all this talk that our coaching staff is incompetent and doesn’t know how to prepare this team to play at a high level each week needs to stop

We got to 11-5 like you said execution. If the players execute we look good, if they don't we look terrible. I'm not saying every single game its been that way, yeah they did good against New England and Vikings, but please don't act like the coaching hasn't failed the players more than the players failed coaching

We didnt attack TB cover 2 properly until the 2nd half. One play Bersin dropped the pass in the hole of the zone, deep middle. The next time we properly attacked was the last drive, game winning drive. This last game, cover 1 they threw one out route to Funchess which was completed. We do have speed in Clay, no out routes to him

Unfortunately, it's not really that simple.

I would agree that good practice habits (i.e. hard work, practicing with the appropriate amount of intensity, and practicing with the appropriate amount of enthusiasm) can directly correlate to a positive or negative importance.

However, this late in the season you aren't going to see the Panthers overhaul the playbook. Kirwin wrote a great article back in 2012 about the development of a game plan and how far in advance coaches prepare for their opponents. Kirwin notes that a coaches game plan is developed at the beginning of the season and once that playbook is finalized, the coach is committing to that philosophy. That's not say that the Panthers won't throw in a rinkle here and there, but to expect an abundance of new plays is simply unreasonable.

At this point in the season, it's going to come down to our players executing the game plan that the coaches have developed and the coaches making minute changes when necessary.

There is a difference in ineptitude and lack of preparation

i said in another thread that Quinn used to be the D.C. Of the Seahawks.

He beat Shula's offense like a drum then. Nothing has changed

after 6 years with Shula.  Absolutely nothing has changed. Nothing

'missec opportunities' right Ron?  Let's see how your staff does with a playoff caliber 2018 schedule upcoming. I say stay as you are and another 6-10 season upcoming

Yes it's easier to put it all on execution if you got the players making the plays that needed. Like Julio. We know who's going to get the ball on 3rd down, does it matter to Julio? Nope

We don't have that and playing a team for a 3rd team we have no other choice but to add a few things

    • Speaking of false premises, I literally said “his rookie year” in my posts and you are arguing over something said a week ago as if that is what I was referring to. I tried to stop talking to you since you admitted yourself it’s pointless, but you just can’t stop running your mouth and bullshitting for some reason. We get it, you think you’re smart. Let me know when you’ve searched all the threads from 2023. I really don’t care enough to do it, but if you want to call me obtuse and all this stupid poo then you should put your money where your mouth is and prove it instead of just running off at the mouth. I wasn’t in here making anything personal or specific to you or anybody else, the only name I mentioned was MRenshaw who is a clear and known troll, but you seem to have taken it personally, so maybe you’re part of the problem.

I don't really like when people call me by my last name but in various work settings, it happens all the time. I don't get my panties in a bunch over it.
