What exactly are you trying to say? Do quarterbacks of a certain age not require quality QB coaches?

He has horrible mechanics, still, to this day.  You don't think any of the QB coaches from high school till now have tried to school him on such?  I am just thinking that he is set and it would be very hard to make that change now

You could be right---his athleticism  carrys him --but why have a QB coach=esp on the pro level ?

I don't see another QB coach making it worse. He has room for improvement, with mechanics, going through progressions and locking onto receivers. Bringing in a top notch QB coach could only help him. We're paying Cam 20 mil a season. If he's going to be our guy, then give him the best possibility of success.

Never said I was against bringing in the coach, just have my doubts that a new one will make that big of a difference.

Not sure that I have known Wade Wilson as the great QB tutor that he seems to be on here anyway, but maybe so.

I do agree with Scot on this --how much improvement have we seen in Cam's mechanics ?

What if the problem isn't the coach? Shula was considered a good QB coach in Jacksonville and helped David Garrard turn around and improve his mechanics and success. But he struggled to turn Cam mechanics around. Now we have another QB coach who is still struggling the same way.  How many will it take before folks start putting the blame where it belongs.

I don't blame Cam

He is being asked to do things in the pros that he has never had to do before.  He primarily ran the ball his entire career until the pros.  Maybe it is beyond just some adjustments to the point of having to reinvent himself, sort of

Wade Wilson has been QB coach for one pro team Dallas and his claim to fame is Tony Romo and Dak Prescott. Sorry but I think both are overated especially Romo who routinely was bad at playoff time. So if we look at the success Wilson has had for one team honestly I don't see him as much of an upgrade. Some folks here dislike our staff so much they routinely tout every alternative as manna from heaven.

Running for your life, slow developing plays, players not getting open, and oh yeah, getting your brains bashed in tends to have that effect

what is allowed is what will continue for his troubles on the field as well. Good coaches would not allow some his issues. There are ways to send the message
