Hurney Has A Chance To Seal His Legacy Here

He brought us the core that got us to the SB. However that core has dried up

If he has the chance to do anything, he can seriously improve the secondary and wide receiver position for the next season on. Tough decisions has to be made and certain players have to go for that happen. There's too much talent in free agency to not dive in. Props to the guys for fighting but it's wasn't enough. Please don't let the end of the game fool you in to thinking that its good enough

Byrd and Samuel may help, but if a player is injured most of the season don't ignore the signs.

Hurney is a moron who put this team in cap hell with a roster that couldn't get out of the bottom half of the NFL.  The "core" he drafted was the result of the God awful product he put on the field.  Hard to mess up the first overall selection with a generational QB in the draft and a series of high first round choices.

You should've had to re-watch every game from 2010-2012 before posting this.  Thank God his chances of being retained under new ownership are roughly the same as the chance any other football team ever offers him so much as an interview for a front office position ever again.

Seal his legacy? Jesus F'ing Christ.

First he has to get Ryan Kalil, Thomas Davis, CJ, and Stewart locked into 5year blockbuster deals like he did for Delhomme! New ownership is on the way!

Hurney doesn't have a legacy to seal.

Again, GMs are judged by the full team they put together, not the few best.  The rosters Hurney put together resulted in more mediocre seasons than anything else.

The best thing that can happen for us is to get a new GM.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
