Unreal choke job by Georgia.....like.....Kirby Smart is uhhh....opposite of.

Dood went away from his QB after that bomb and just sat on the lead like Rivera did/would and ran his most ineffective RBs up the gut over and over while the other RB was doing better.

Then you let a WR get behind you after making what should have been the game winning sack....like....trash coaching job. You can't have anyone fall for that poo how do you fugin allow the QB to move you when your spot is the most important thing....the other safety was over there your job is that side.....Georgia been CLEMSONING since well before CLEMSON did and CLEMSON has gotten over it.....such a poo coaching job in this game. Saban the best ever though.

Y'all never want to know what this is like....not ever. Twice in one year. No matter how bad it gets in Carolina, sleep easy....it will never be as bad as it is in Georgia.

Hey, I had the Panthers' Super Bowl and Tar Heels last second NCAA championship basketball loss back to back. At least my Heels turned around and won it all.

But it's definitely different for you guys. Y'all had those games won. All you had to do was not cho... *cough... gag... cough*

Well that's just it tho....UNC won and for me Clemson at least won one.....GA hadn't been there and now Bama with that QB gonna be even better.....GA got a young team too but Bama still better all around and especially coaching. If you watch GA football they always do knucklehead poo and get a critical error play and or penalty. They've been doing that forever and it used to be a Mark Rict special....guess it wasn't just Mark Rict but those GA boys just dumb I guess.

Technically speaking it happened in back to back years

Wait wait wait....

So now in the press conference Kirby Smart says they expected that new QB to come in after half time? WOW he's even worse a HC than I thought since they didn't adjust their defense literally at all including in OT....I mean wtf you knew they were going to switch and you still didn't play coverage right....got even less confidence for GA now goin forward.

GA had a chance at their own special run but losses like this kill you for real. Wouldn't surprise me if that halts a Kirby Smart SEC East dynasty before it begins. Dood reminds me of Rivera in game....

Momentum is real and its easier trailing cause you go aggressive than being up and comfortable. Bama did a good job running clock in the 2nd half too

I think your 2nd paragraph sums up my exact sentiments on this game. Chubb did absolutely nothing tonight. Georgia may have actually won the game if Smart had been smart enough (pun intended) to leave Chubb on the bench like Saban decided to do with Hurst. If he had the offense might have kept the momentum it had for the first 3 quarters.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
