This fan base has fallen off a cliff when it comes to this Norv Turner hatred

What are you talking about?

I quit talking to you when you compared the offense Atlanta ran with Vick to what we have been running with Cam.

Sorry if I reference conversations older than the last 30 minutes. I am talking about the last 5 years. Plus we were not comparing what Atlanta runs to what we run. You said no team has ever counted on a quarterback to be both a big time runner and passer and I brought up 3 names of players for teams from 3 eras which prove you wrong.

It's pretty silly to judge an OC on their W/L record.

That is how all coaches and coordinators are judges because that is the bottom line. Even total yards, scoring and other stats are highly dependent on things outside their control like field position, opposition,  turnovers, scoring opportunities.

Funny how these defenses never came up talking about Shula.

Not a single one of the quarterbacks you mentioned were used constantly as the team's primary running back.

I'm talking read option, designed QB runs....multiple times per game.

I am really not sure what is so hard to understand about that.

Now that you quantified your post to include only  read option design quarterbacks you are correct since no one else uses our exact system. So he is unique. It wouldn't have been hard to understand if you had been clear in your posts instead of changing and modifying your post until you are finally correct about something.

I suspect he already knows what we run and is okay with it. After all he has relatives with insider knowledge and likely has been talking at length with them to decide if he wants the job. But no we aren't going to change players wholesale. GMs can't just snap their fingers and have franchise players magically appear in the draft or free agency.

Some teams do...a couple are playing thus weekend..one notorious for moving on players in their prime before decline.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
